At Savannah Wine Cellar we have two main goals: 1) provide the Savannah area with an outstanding retail wine shop that would appeal to both novice and seasoned wine drinkers; 2) offer a relaxed atmosphere where people could taste and learn about wine --- wine varietals, wine vintages, wine regions, and winemakers -- in a fun & non-judgemental way. 

Many hours were spent discussing what key ingredient was missing from the current Savannah wine market. Beyond the basics; selection, price, knowledgeable staff and great service the question became: What service could Savannah Wine Cellar offer that would set us apart? After discovering the temperature controlled, self-serve WineStations® by Napa Technology, the answer was obvious. Savannah Wine Cellar would marry old-world charm to new-world technology!

By offering on demand wine tasting technology, consumers have the ability to taste before they buy and to try new wines at their own pace. Currently, we have 8 WineStations that feature 32 wines from around the world. Whites, Rosé, Orange, Reds - the options to taste are always changing!

Bridget Michalski’s love of food and wine was first ignited while working in restaurants while studying at Rutgers University. After a few years working in the mortgage industry, she started taking wine classes and soon quit her job to attend culinary school. She then lived in northeastern  Italy for three years where she studied the culinary and wine traditions of the regions of Italy as well as other countries throughout Europe. Since returning to the U.S., she has dedicated herself to the wine industry passing the Certified Specialist of Wine exam with the Society of Wine Educators and working in retail, wholesale and winery operations of the wine business in Alabama, Canada, Texas, Virginia and Savannah.

She worked for Savannah Wine Cellar from 2012 to 2014, and is excited to now be its managing partner and share her passion for wine with our customers. She is happy to now call Savannah her permanent home after her husband, Nick, retired from the Air Force.
